Palm Beach County Convention Center Survival Guide
Badge on, coffee secured, dinner already chosen. Here is how to get through a convention-center day without eating an emergency granola bar over a trash can.
A convention-center day has two versions. In one, you know where to park, where coffee lives and where dinner happens. In the other, you are carrying a tote bag full of brochures while searching “food near me” at 7:18 p.m. Let’s choose the first version.
Know the location
The Palm Beach County Convention Center sits at 650 Okeechobee Boulevard across from CityPlace and near the Kravis Center. Brightline and Tri-Rail stations are less than a mile away, according to the venue. Check the official event instructions because entrances and registration areas can differ.
Parking without the spiral
The venue operates a large paid garage accessed from the south side of Okeechobee Boulevard toward South Rosemary. Rates, event arrangements and operating hours can change. Photograph the level before entering the building; twelve identical garage rows will not remember for you.
Coffee before check-in
maman, Makeb’s Bagels — Downtown and Subculture Coffee are useful options depending on your route. On tightly scheduled mornings, confirm opening hours the night before.
Lunch and dinner across the street
Use the CityPlace directory to compare options. Eataly, Moxies, True Food Kitchen and Il Bellagio cover quick, casual and more polished group meals.
When the sessions end
Check CityPlace Live Music or the wider events calendar. For a hotel-adjacent dinner, Galley is close to the convention-center complex.
If the final session ends during dinner rush, reserve in advance or choose a counter-service backup. Conference crowds can make a normal Tuesday behave like Saturday with matching lanyards.
The attendee kit
Bring a charger, light layer, water bottle if permitted and shoes that forgive concrete floors. Save the event agenda offline. Large buildings have a gift for making the one page you need disappear when cellular service gets moody.
Use the first break to locate the correct exit and meeting point. If colleagues are splitting up, agree on one post-event restaurant instead of beginning a twelve-person location debate in the lobby.
